ArtSketch is a small magazine of artist interviews run by Scott Harris. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect and why. The short version: we only collect your email address, and only if you sign up for new interviews.
If you subscribe
When you enter your email address in the “Stay up to date with the latest interviews” form, we send it to our email provider, Sender (sender.net), which stores it for us. We use it only to email you new ArtSketch interviews and the occasional related update. We don’t sell it or share it with anyone else.
The sign-up form also has an optional box, unticked by default, to get Character Art School’s free character drawing pack. Character Art School is also run by Scott Harris and uses the same Sender account. If you tick it, your address is added to that list too, and you’ll get the pack and a few drawing-tips emails. If you don’t tick it, your address is used for ArtSketch only.
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you won’t hear from us again.
If you support ArtSketch
Support payments are taken by Whop (whop.com) on its own checkout page. Whop handles your payment details under its own privacy policy; ArtSketch never sees your card number. We may see your name, email address and the amount, so we can thank you and handle any refunds.
If you just read
You can read the whole site without giving us anything. We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Like every website, our web server keeps basic technical logs (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running; these are kept for a short time and not used to identify you.
If you use the light/dark switch, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device.
